Hi ATL:

I will be relocating to the Atlanta metro within the next 3 months. At the suggestion of many who try to help on this forum, here is my situation:

1. Plan to rent for at least 12-18 months; perhaps longer--prefer to keep rent under $1200/month
2. House or Townhome--2-3 BR. Must allow 2 very spoiled but non-destructive Pugs (~ 20 # each). Completely housebroken--better behaved than most people. Need 1 car garage minimum.
3. Employment--Need to be about midway between Buckhead and Alpharetta since I'll be needing to access either company location
4. Access to the Airport--somewhat important (travel 1/2 times month for business)
5. No Children; I'm 40'ish--female
6. Not sure about urban/suburban....suburban I guess. Prefer quiet safe neighborhoods which are safe to run in at 5 AM. I pictured myself in more of a quaint eclectic environment with a cute downtown to walk through. I'm not a 'club' person (been there/done that) but I enjoy wine and smooth jazz.
6. Need reasonable access to Conyers/Covington since I do have horses.
7. I am white but mixed neighborhood of professionals is fine.

I certainly appreciate your guidance.

You can contact ProMove apartment locator service.

Midway between Buckhead and Alpharetta would be the Perimeter Mall/Dunwoody/Sandy Springs area. You could use MARTA from there to the airport. Dunwoody has a town center but isn't particularly walkable or quaint.

Roswell would be another option between Buckhead and Alpharetta and it does have a walkable downtown area with shops and restaurants. A bit further out. Very safe and a really good environment for social activities and recreation.
Town of Roswell -- the older walkable neighborhoods......

Roswell named one of America's "coolest" suburbs

It is probably 45 minutes to an hour from Perimeter or Roswell to Conyers/Covington.
