I am an independent voter and I honestly don't know too much about deal platform and Barnes platform. I feel that the current state admin like the governor mess up the state economy like alot of the state prison are closing, teachers getting furlow(execuse spelling), the hope scholarship is getting less funding with they implemented at state college institution fees to help offset the cost of the school. Honestly, I don't know who will turn this economy around and I don't know who I will vote for but I am tired of this mess with the state

You guys ought to be grateful that you don't live in a border city (Savannah, Augusta, Columbus, Chattanooga) and aren't getting bombarded by endless annoying TV commercials for candidates on BOTH sides of the state line. AYE! It's mind-boggling. The local stations are NOTHING but election ads -- morning, noon and night.

Ask me anything you want to know about the races in South Carolina -- I can tell ya!

Why is that true?

If this election proves anything, it's that the majority of Georgians vote entirely based on what letter is in front of someone's name (D or R), and how conservative they can say they are. Well that's not entirely true, whether or not they like the confederate flag *does* play a miniscule part in their decision-making process.

The way this governors race is panning out is so depressing it's not even funny. Watching corruption after corruption surface while the poll numbers remain consistent... just boggles the mind. It's like that joke Stephen Colbert made about W, that he believes the same thing on Wednesday that he believed on Monday, no matter what happened on Tuesday. Except it's the majority of voters in an entire state

Called it.

Also, way to pass Amendment 1, Georgia. Nothing like FURTHER restricting the job market and hindering startup businesses even more in the middle of a recession. The only up-side to this ridiculous election is that I finally have a tangible reason to not miss home for a little while. I was happier missing it.

Not sure how to take your response. Are you not aware of the gov. elects' views on gay rights and the term "ghetto-grandmothers" that he made up? Maybe next time I should be more explicit when commenting in jest so not to confuse you. Perhaps "ol" "comin" and "ya" weren't obvious enough. Anyways, opps my bad...or better yet, my sincerest apologies supracooby22.

If you meant it in jest than it is I that I owe you an apology and I know that Deal isnt pro-gay but hadnt heard the "ghetto grandmothers" comment. What was that about?"

My thoughts. I am not one bit happy about this election: I voted for Barnes. Who's governor now? Deal. Something I am not happy for. Last time midterm elections were around, I voted for Mark Taylor because I was sick of Perdue. Instead, Perdue won anyway. It happened again. Personally, there was a reason I voted. Every vote counts and that includes my vote. I felt like voting would make it one vote closer.
