So where can find decent pizza like in NY. The pizza hut and domino and some others I tried advertising NY style don't compare, anyone come across some decent pizza places to get a good slice.

I haven't tried this place but next time I'm in Kennesaw I plan on stopping by. Authentic New York Style Pizza with pretty decent reviews on yelp. bigpieinthesky.com Profiled on Man vs. Food show.

Savage Pizza has always been really good. Located in Little Five Points and Avondale Estates.

I will recommend three places in the southeastern corner of Cobb:

Blue Moon Pizza (Two locations ... we go to the one in West Village just north of Atlanta Road and I-285). I recommend the Thai Chicken pizza.

Pizzeria Fortunato (Located on the corner of Atlanta Road and Paces Ferry)

Bellas Pizzeria (Located on the East/West Connector just east of Cooper Lake Road)

...

Jet's Pizza is also very good, but it's Michigan-style pizza (very thick crust). Their BBQ Chicken Pizza is awesome!

Varasanos on Peachtree in Buckhead is your best bet. It is worth the drive.

I love Jet's Pizza! We used to have it all the time when we lived in the Detroit area. It's a good example of a Michigan/Ohio pizza, with crust thicker than NY but thinner than Chicago.

Here's one that's actually right in the area that OP seems to be seeking: northeast Cobb, very close to the Cherokee County line. Affordable and good: BullBoxer31 Pizza / Pizzeria, italian restaurant, Broad Street Atlanta Georgia

Don't know the others but I"d second the recommendation on Fortunato's. I think the owner is from NYC.

Reading the responses in this thread I question the literacy rate of board members.
