My husband will be taking the North Springs line (driving from Roswel) into Downtown Atlanta (Federal reserve building) Peachtree Street. How long will this ride take in the early A.M.? Is this the correct route to take if living in Roswel??? Thanks so much....

Default I'm from NY

and I've taken MARTA from N Springs to the Airport which according to the schedule is a 47 minute trip(in reality it takes on average from 3-8 minutes longer) .

the location you mention probably is the halfway point so most likely it's about 30 minutes

but i'm sure a seasoned Atlantan can help better or go to the marta website

North Springs is the closest station to most of Roswell. You can use Google maps to make sure.

1. Driving to the MARTA station (during rush hour is a chore from the surrounding ares), 2. Finding a parking spot and walking to the station (takes about 10 minutes), 3. Taking the train to Midtown area is about 30-40 minutes depending on how long you wait for the train (trains are regular during rush hour times). 4. Walk to your job (I forget how close the FSB is to MARTA) but I would guess it is a 10-15 min walk).

A one way commute during rush hour could be as short as 1 hr to 2 hrs depending on all these factors: commute time to station, waiting for train, riding train, walking to job. Basically, this sums it up pretty well, if your husband can get to the MARTA station before 7-7:15 AM, his commute will be shorter on most days.

He will be leaving the house by around 6:10 a.m...I would think he should be able to park without a problem hopefully. I'm told the MARTA lets out directly across the street from the Federal Reserve building so the walking time in shouldn't take long at all. I'm mainly wondering how long the 6-7 miles to the Northsprings station from Roswel will take at that time of the morning...
