hello my boy friend is going next week for an interview at lockheed, we currently live near columbus ga, if your unaware where that is its about two hrs away from Atlanta/marietta. I myself am awaiting a return phone call for an interview. If he or we do get the job we as well will be looking to relocate, this is a very scary nerve racking thing for me since i have been here all my life. We will be planning to rent at 1st and are looking to be rent for about $1000 a month for a 3 bedroom home. We are looking for a house because we have 3 dogs that are a big part of our family. But one of my biggest concerns is my 7 yrs old son, He is in the 2nd grade making straight A's and is being tested for gifted classes in the 3rd grade (amazimg... lol sorry had to give a lil kudos to myself!!) so i want to make sure i pick a great school for him. have you made any other descisions on your move? His interview is nevt wednesday and since they have supplied the rental car and hotel im going to go as well and look at neighbor hoods, and poss homes for rent. i've been looking online and have found some pretty nice houses, but i want to make sure it's in the right areas. any advice?

To get that low of a rent for a 3-bedroom house, you're either going to have to head out from town a bit or be in a crummy area. The second option obviously won't work for you if you want good schools. I'd suggest looking up in Cherokee County- you may find something there within your budget, and you'd be roughly 30-40 minutes from Lockheed.
