The area has already been targeted for redevelopment so is this just to continue that?

The Techwood homes redevelopment seems to have worked. Definitely better than it was. But still Techwood seems so blah. It has about as much character as any apartment development.
Very good observations. I think the absolute key to getting things going around English Avenue is to get crime under control. Yes, in the long terms you have to address root causes but for starters the area needs vigorous policing. It would also help to get the trash and debris off the streets. It just looks and feels rundown and unsafe around there.

I happened to be down at Council several weeks ago and a long line of people from English Avenue stepped up to talk about crime. Until you get that under control you can't do anything.
