Between the home invasions and now today a shooting at a pre-school, is Dunwoody officially on the "bad" areas of Atlanta? I know folks have paid big money to live there, you have to wonder if they threw that money away.

I thought the home invasions occurred in the Roswell/East Cobb area--maybe there have been numerous home invasions?

Crime happens everywhere. Even in nice areas. I am sure the people who live in Dunwoody know this and feel safe on a day to day basis.

No, Dunwoody is not a bad area, and it wont become one. With incorporation, the city can now control its destiny. If crime became a problem, they could increase police and nip it. If it were still unincorporated, I could see people starting to worry. But now that they have their own police force, people accept that crime does happen, and are assured that it will be handled by the Dunwoody Police Department. And just so you know, the break-ins are actually occurring in the "Dunwoody Panhandle", which is technically Sandy Springs.

Translation = you are jealous of your friends and looking to tear them down in a highly passive aggressive way.

Dunwoody is not "bad" in the least. It just so happens to be a suburb of a large city that has a fairly high amount of crime, relatively speaking. You will have some spillover and things happen. It happens all over the metro area on a random basis.

I feel very sorry for this guy and his family. Something is very suspicious about this crime....it was obviously not a robbery or car jacking, just cold-blooded murder. Unless the assailant is a psychopath, I wonder what the motive was?

Sounds domestic to me. Somebody was in the wrong bed, that sort of thing. Cherchez la femme.
