None of this change is confined to Fayette county as many of us familiar with the metro would know. Metro Atlanta all over is much more diverse racially and ethnically than it was a decade ago. Some basic research shows this. You can even say the same for exurbs or places that aren't part of the metro, many have gotten more diverse over the years. The current census data shows all that change in detail.

I would recommend Fayetteville as a great place to live for some people out there looking for a decent suburban setting on the southside. I think Peachtree City has stronger public schools for the most part within Fayette County. And lastly, I appreciate your input, Newsboy.

Anyway, nothing wrong with a good debate!

If everyone stays, in 100 years there would be no white faces. Why is that your ideal situation? Why is it good to see a race extinguished?

That's their whole goal. It's all about di-ver-si-ty. Nevermind Newsboy admitted there is more crime in Fayette now. Yet us folks from Fayette are supposed to welcome this with open arms.

It will turn into another Clayton, but this is a good thing, right? As long as there is more di-ver-si-ty.

The end result being lack of diversity, in the long run.

I take it you are one of those who "escaped" to Fayette County from Fulton or DeKalb during the wave of white flight in the 70s and 80s? And looking to escape again, to Lamar or Pike? WELL KEEP ON RUNNING! Eventually you'll run out of places to hide, except maybe the Pacific Northwest?

Fortunately, many people in Fayette County realize this insanity has to stop somewhere. Besides, it's not really about race .. it's about income. Nobody cares what color your skin as long as you can afford the house payment and stick to the HOA. So explain again how Fayette is going to turn into another Clayton? I don't see $250,000 houses on acre lots turning "ghetto" anytime soon.

Interesting find about Fayetteville, Newsboy.

The metro has a good reputation for great hospitals which is obviously important to many retires. The Piedomont hospital in Fayetteville is something to brag about, I think. I thought it was a great hospital based on what my family experienced there for the occasional family surgeries.

Diversity in A LOT of situations or conversations is the new code speak for anti-white. Saying you prefer a "diverse" area sounds a lot better than saying. Where can I move that isnt lilly white. Its just another politically correct term that I refuse to use. I mean if you want a black or hispanic area or more Koreans in the mix just say it. There is definetely an agenda behind all this "diversity" talk.

Newsboy you have lost your mind. I graduated from FCHS in 1989 and Fayetteville is night and day from what it was back then. If you go to greatschools you will see that it is now 50% black, 34% white and 16% other. Fayetteille is Riverdale south period! PTC or Tyrone/Brooks area much nicer and better schools.
