While I do think that the wings at American Deli are delicious, There is one Place in Sandy Springs where the wings are just alot better. I cant think of the name of the place but the wings are better and they deliver.

But my favorite American Deli is the American Deli on Cascade in the Kroger's shopping Center. The wings are fresh and Your always in there less than 10 minutes.

Oh my, I'd hate to taste those wings then. I damn near moved back when I had a hit of American Deli. Dunno what they are lacing them things with.

The one on Cascade is the one that my bestfriend took me to, straight from the airport. The manager there is a cute little asian lady. She had jokes about charging us a quarter each to use their restroom...lol.

I will definitely have to try the Hot Wings combo when I'm back down that way. Btw, their sweet tea is great, as well.

I believe you are talking about Clay's Sports Cafe (Clay's Sports Cafe - Atlanta, GA) near Roswell Road and Abernathy!

My co-worker took me to that place a couple of weeks ago, and you are correct the wings and french fries are outstanding and the price is low.

I. LOVE. AMERICAN. DELI. The wings are great, yes, but I got introduced to their chicken cheese steak, and since then I barely sniff their wings anymore.

I love their honey bbq with a side of blue cheese. I've never noticed a difference between the ADs, so can't say which is the "best." However, I frequent the one off Howell Mill out of convenience.

This. I couldn't find a decent hot wing place to save my life in NYC, but they're a dime a dozen here. Certainly wings are an ATL specialty.

Why is some of the best fried food sold next to gas stations...lol? J/k.

You know, people have asked what is Atlanta's equivalent of New York style pizza, NoLa Po'Boy, Philly Cheesesteak Sand, etc. I would say that wings would probably be Atlanta's equivalent street food, because they are sold in many regular hoods with good quality.

Of course, they are techinically "Buffalo" wings, but the Atlanta region seem to have a different spin on them with the different varieties, flavors and high quality. As Downtown and Midtown get more street kiosks and street food truck vendors, it would be nice to see American Deli quality wings become the standard.

I don't know why it's so hard to find a place in NYC that makes quality wings. They are either too small, over cooked, or the sauce is not right and don't get me started on the fries, etc. I have a friend here that swears by Atomic Wings or Dante's Down the Hatch. They just don't know any better, I suppose...

AND, while practically all of our Chinese restaurants have these delicious braised wings--some sort of honey, sweetish type of sauce cooked into the wings-- that does not exist in ANY place I've seen in NYC. The Chinese spots only sell regular fried wings that I can get at KFC. No thanks.

Seriously NYC, while a haven for international street food, was lacking in good American street food. For a while their McDonalds' didn't even have chicken biscuits-- the inhumanity!

I know, right? I've also noticed that a lot of places that sell hot wings up here tend to not put the sauce on the wings, but on the side. Would you imagine...? Hilarious..lol.

I also remember when I first moved up here and I would ask for sweet tea out of habit at McDonalds' and other fast food restaurants. They would say, "sweet wha...who?" They only have that gross raspberry or lemon lipton iced tea, if you want it already sweetened.

This is too funny. We sound like many of those New Yorkers that move South and complain that they cant find their precious New York slices and Bagels with a smear, etc etc. Oh yea, I finally found a couple of places up here that have decent BBQ.
