This is too funny. We sound like many of those New Yorkers that move South and complain that they cant find their precious New York slices and Bagels with a smear, etc etc. Oh yea, I finally found a couple of places up here that have decent BBQ.
Lol, but it's true! Not to say I can't find good soul food up there, because it exists. I was simply in heaven when I went out with my girls to the one IHOP in New Jersey that cooks soul food. It was fascinating to see shrimp and grits, fish and grits, chicken and waffles and collard greens on a special IHOP menu that was separate form the main one.

But there is simply no place like home, so I can't blame the NYers when they can't find their goods down here :-)
