Does anyone know anything about this neighborhood? I believe it came up in a search I did of a 5 mile radius of Druid Hills (thinking anything in this general area would be decent and safe as well as not too far out). Am I right in thinking this or, are there pockets one should avoid? The pictures of Tilson Ridge look nice however it is kind of close to Rte 20 and I thought I read something in the forum about "seedy areas near Rte 20".

Can anyone comment? Thanks in advance.

Tilson Elementary School, Decatur Georgia / GA School Profile, Ranking, and Reviews - SchoolDigger.com

Zipcodes 30033 and 30329 are north of the Emory/Druid Hills area.

In several other threads posters have advised that zipcodes 30032, 30034 and 30035 have sketchy areas.

This is 30032 and it is North of 20 and off of Tilson Road. It seem really nice; all newer Craftsman style homes on larger lots wth quality high end finishes and materials for under 200k. I wonder how close to a bad area it is. Atlanta Police Crime report for the area isn't bad either.

It may be 'north of I20' but it is south DeKalb county--there are sketchy areas.

This area may be considered East Atlanta if you wish to do further research.

What can you tell me about Kirkwood, EAV, East Lakes, etc?
East Atlanta - EAV/Moreland walkable?

This area wouldn't be served by Atlanta Police.

Crime Mapping - Building Safer Communities! should help.

I lived about a mile northwest of there and it was pretty rough, but that's the kind of area where things can differ a lot from street to street. I know people who lived over off of Marco and McAfee and I know things were calmer there than they were in my area.
