The old alpharatta zipcode now becomes three cities (Milton, Johns Creek and Alpharatta). The best public schools are in Johns Creek (zipcode 30022 and 30097). There are very few private schools in the area since most parents send their kids to local public schools. The best high school in Johns Creek is Northview, which is probably No.2 high school in the Atlanta area after Walton high. Woodward academy North has campus in Johns Creek but it only goes from K-8(?).

There are a lot of transplants in Johns Creek. It has orange county feel. Most people are fiscal conservative, not social conservative since there are so many transplants from North in the area.

There is old thread with a lot of Johns Creek information.

Alpharetta (also, Milton/Johns Creek) is not homophobic and I would not say overwhelmingly Republic (or Democratic). Whoever said that just has some problem with Alpharetta.

I agree with GF72. The problem they speak of might be that
people don't want more people moving to Alpharetta. We've lived in NY, Boston, NJ, MI and find Alpharetta even keeled,
not political or bible belt. There are many transplants here. Alpharetta is an easy, pretty place to live close to Atlanta.
