I don't watch TV news. Haven't for years. Let them keep their sound bytes.

wsb, but only 'watch' the 6-7am news, (actualy dvr it) and play / pause 30 min of it when i get up/ready in the morning. There news repeats every 30 mins from 4a? to 9a. only thing ive seen is the traffic changes, and the dawn shots when the sun comes up.

I have always liked Fox 5's news programming but I feel WSB gives a better "product". The only time I ever watched CBS was back when Chris McWatt was with the station earlier this decade.

**Always thought Atl needed a 24/7 news channel similar to News 14 in Charlotte, NC and NY1

Fox 5 News most of the time and sometimes WSB-TV or CBS Atlanta to get a different view when Fox 5 is repeating the same stuff. 11 Alive is unwatchable to me.

Same here. Streaming WSB radio and Drudge Report keep me up to speed.

Since I bought a HD car stereo I've been listening to 90.1 WABE channel 3 a lot. I usually listen to All Things Considered in the afternoons on the main channel and catch Deutsche Welle and the BBC in the evenings on channel 3.

I hardly ever watch TV news.

Pretty much the same but add WSB into the unwatchable for me. Same news every 30 mins and Monica K. overhyping of a story, I don't understand how they win every ratings book at all.

I didn't watch local TV news for years, but just recently started tuning in again. Admittedly, the coverage seems to deal mainly with who got shot, run over, bitten by a pit bull, had their house/apartment complex burn down or had their benefits denied by some agency, but it's still kind of interesting.

I gave up on local radio just because it's so one-sided. WSB is a constant barrage of Neal, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, Herman Cain, etc. WGST is Glenn Beck, Rush, and so on. 1160 is Laura Ingraham, Dr. Laura, Erik Muller, etc. WABE is nothing but Lois Rightsus (sp?) spinning classical records.

There are really no non-conservative voices that I can think of. At least they're not on the air when I tune in. I like to get my news with some balance, instead of having it all come in through the same filter.

So we switched to satellite radio about 7 or 8 years ago and it was the best thing I did in a long time. No commercials for one thing, and you get a much broader view of the world and vastly more variety. Brought my blood pressure down a few points, too.
