Does anyone have any idea what the daily commute would be like on I285 between exit 62 (GA14 spur) to peachtree-dunwoody road exit? I'm thinking of moving down there, but, I'm afraid of the commute. Thanks.

What time of day will you be commuting? If it's normal business hours, your commute coming home will be a nightmare because traffic on 285 is especially bad during rush hour.

If you are commuting in the afternoon (coming home) traffic will start slowing around the Donald L. Hollowell (Bankhead) exit, then slow again at I-20 then you are home free until you get to GA14 Spur (or South Fulton Parkway).

In the mornings, traffic will probably start slowing once you get close to South Cobb Drive. Your commute both ways will probably be an hour because you are driving from south to north and vice versa.

Since drivers in the ATL like to speed when it rains, an accident will probably double your commute time.

If you will be working in the Peachtree-Dunwoody area, I would definitely advise that you either look in Smryna or anything along the perimeter close to your job. That will not be a happy commute! But, if you must, just take plenty of books of CDs/cassettes and music and calm your nerves!
