It depends on how you define top neighborhood.

IMO - this is my list:

Buckhead (Chastain Park, Peachtree Battle, Brookwood)
Inman Park
Ansley Park
Candler Park
City of Decatur
Midtown
Virginia Highland

(Little 5 Points is a business district - not a neighborhood)

Vinings really isn't in Atlanta. Is it? The main area is 30339 in Cobb, anyway.

Neither is Decatur, for that matter. But anybody in the city that can spit across a river could hit Vinings.

I love the whole eastern side of town, myself, which is why I moved there. I'm not a fan of Buckhead/Peachtree Hills/etc. But I do recognize that it's a good part of town. Just not my style.
