Question moving to Atlanta, please advise if you can.

Hello,

I'm moving to Atlanta with my significant other and our chihuahua, and we're currently searching for an apartment. I'm going to attend GSU, so we were interested in being close to the campus, and had thought about Little Five Points for this reason. However, we don't have a lot of money, so we need to find something inexpensive while we're getting started. If anyone could suggest some properties or neighborhoods worth checking out, I would appreciate it!

Thanks,

Anna

The closer to the campus, the more expensive the housing is. If you live a little further, but close to MARTA rail, cost of living will go down.

There are several apartment buildings in the Little Five Points and Candler Park areas. Those are within walking distance of MARTA stations. There's also a large, older apartment complex (North high Ridge apartments) on the corner of North Ave. and Highland Ave., sort of in the gray area between Virginia-Highland and Little Five Points.

Default Thank you

CityFan, I appreciate the advice.

JPD, that is very useful information. I'll try to focus my search in those areas; we're planning to come up on Monday to look around.

Check out the local Creative Loafing Newspaper that you will find all over the place and also check craigslist. You guys should be able to find some deals in there that are close to GSU and Marta
