Yes because Gwinett County did not just create a grand jury for its County Commission Chairman investigating also other county officials in over $37 million in questionable land deals. When did that level of corruption hapen in Atlanta .?I'll be waiting for your answer,or for that matter our own Gov.elect stepping down before he was cited for serious ethics violations.
Actually Atlanta has become less corrupt in the last 10 years.People may have had issues with Shirley Franklin, but corruption was never it.

Every county in the metro area has faced corruption. Many much more than Atlanta.

By the way, for those who are interested in the renaming of streets in downtown Atlanta, be sure you are writing and calling to weigh in with the City Council on a regular basis. Unless they hear from you they won't know your opinon.

Here's from the 1/18/11 Action Minutes

Quote:

Street renaming ploy revs up new showdown | Atlanta News & Opinion Blog | Fresh Loaf | Creative Loafing Atlanta

Apparently the Portman camp will "accept no less" than a complete street renaming. Wow.

Rename them all Peachtree. That way you'll always know what street you're on.

It's ridiculous to rename streets. It's expensive for businesses and confusing to residents, visitors and emergency responders. Honor people with a park, monument or square but don't mess with street names.

And if it's gotta be a street, can it please just be Postman St.? This business of naming streets "First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Junior/Senior" is just ridiculous.
