The majority of the readers on this board are not fans of Section 8. If you do a search, you will find many similar threads. I'm not familiar with the requirements or the best locations to look, sorry.

Good luck.

This is the typical Atlanta transplant for the last decade. People don't move here with jobs anymore - they move here with Section 8.

Stay in Detroit. We have enough Section 8 renters down here. The waiting list was closed in '05.

Is this post for real? I don't think many people go around waving their section 8 voucher in the air calling all sorts of attention to it.

Sounds like troll bait to me. If not, then I apologize.

I agree. God told me as well that it is best for you to stay put where your at. The grass is not always greener on the other side.

Please go to Houston or stay where you are. It is hard enough to find a job here.

These threads are never real, but poor blacks moving to Atlanta for the "good life" is real. People make these threads to **** off the defensive blacks on this forum, so it could be anyone. You can always tell when its fake. Cause its always a single mom type with kids that gives just enough info to **** off readers.

What exactly is Section 8 anyway. I know its some sort government hand out, but how is it different from food stamps or unemployment?
