I am hoping you guys can help me out here. I am on a quest. A quest for rainbow cookies. Can anyone recommend a good Italian bakery that makes them? I have asked several folks here but none of them have even heard of rainbow cookies.

The best I've found in the area are at Alpine Bakery in Alpharetta. They're not the best I've ever had, but the best I can find locally. I have just started making them myself because I want the real thing.

Alpine is the real deal. They also have a bakery on Long Island, and many consider it to be one of the best in the area up there.

I'll put in a third recommendation for Alpine. When I moved to Las Vegas from NJ, the one thing I couldn't find was rainbow cookies, so every time my parents visited, they had to bring some out. I was having the same issue here, but now that we've found Alpine, the problem is solved. I'd put them up against any NJ bakery- and their pizza isn't bad either.

These rainbow cookies from Suwanee, Ga (near Atlanta) reminded me of the "old country" of Brooklyn. I have tried many bakeries in Florida to find these cookies, but none had the same texture or taste as I remembered growing up in New York. The closest was a natural food store and even then It was not the flavor that I remember. It was not until I came across Old New York Sweets did I find the exact taste that I remember as a child. I did not want to share them but I did and my friends loved them too. I look forward to my next box and I am not sharing!
