Only after you have a job first because it's hard enough finding a job here now. Move into the city to stop all the sprawl and post a pic of yourself so we can evauluate.

Google it, boo. Just kiddin'....lol. To have moxie basically means to have "guts" or "balls." I like your moxie and how you gave back all that 'tube that was dished at you, initially.

Wow, to make this directly Atlanta related: "Moxie is also a carbonated beverage considered to be the USA's first mass produced soft drink. Moxie is presently owned by the Monarch Bottling Company of Atlanta, Georgia. The Catawissa Bottling Company is one of the six bottlers in the United States producing Moxie. It is located in Catawissa, Pennsylvania., and has produced Moxie since 1945."

Moxie - Definition

How ironic....

ummm... Let me jump in here.... This conversation needs a restart.

Despite poor wording ... I think other people are trying to help out the original poster more than the OP realizes.

The reason these comments are being made... Atlanta got hit a bit harder than the rest of the country in the last recession. We had a large construction industry, since we were growing so fast, that completely lost most of its work and it sent many people every which way to dig up any job they could. For this reason... there is a movement on this forum to discourage people from choosing now as a time to move here... just to move here.

The reason we ask why you are choosing to move here... is so we can understand your reasons/situation better... not to knock the idea.

If you are just looking for a change of lifestyle/scenery... I would recommend waiting another year (instead of 6 months) and reevaluate as the economy picks up. People are just too afraid you won't find a job and only having a month to support yourself with a bad job market isn't the most ideal situation to move.

The good news is you are in the healthcare, which isn't as bad. The bad news is many in healthcare that I know personally have been hanging onto their jobs and been afraid to move around. Someone I know personally couldn't find a new job when their hours got cut back and they do exactly the job you are looking for.

If you really want to move here and can't wait... You need to get online and start researching and mailing resumes immediately. Don't wait until you get here and expect to land a job within a month. I would also open yourself up to making one or two trips to Atlanta over the next 6 months for interviews. (I would try to bundle multiple interviews into the same trip to save expenses)

You can come only if you are pretty and weigh under 125 pounds.
