Best Weather among Atlanta vs Orlando vs Dallas vs Raliegh

Between Georgia, Florida, Texas, and North Carolina, which area has the best weather in terms of residence all year round?

Would everybody here agree that Atlanta's weather is far better than Chicago's weather all year round?

I can only give my $.02---in addition to extreme cold, I have heard Chicago can get pretty warm in the summer--how this compares to summer in Atlanta I cannot say.

From midJune/July to late August-midSeptember Atlanta is/can be hot and humid. North Carolina has a higher elevation, in general, and might not experience as much humidity. Closer to the coast I theoriize there is greater humidity.

The rest of the year Atlanta's climate is moderate---cold 20's-40's in the winter months--some ice and snow, not a lot--and spring and fall are very pleasant. I would think it would be much more humid in Orlando and that Dallas would be hot and humid, too, for several months.

Let me ask this question in a different way. If Southern California and Hawaii is rated #1 and #2 in terms of weather all year round, what cities would you rate as #3, #4, and #5. From a national weather ranking... Would you rank Atlanta in the top 5?

I am moving from Chicago to Atlanta next summer and i know that Atlanta's weather should be a nice upgrade in terms of weather as i hate the harsh winters. Atlanta also seems to have more of Chicago's down to earth values compared to Southern California, which is the reason we are moving to Atlanta and not SoCal. I think weather plays a big part in the quality of life you get from the city you live in.

Really? I thought the weather gets above 100 during the summers in Dallas? I would say Atlanta's weather would be better than Dallas? no?

ATL and Raliegh have similar weather, if its 40s there, it 40s here. Only diff, snow chances are better in NC. All the other seasons are similar as well. In fact I travel that region frequently and more than once it has been warmer up there than here. Dallas in all seasons is usually warmer than ATL by 5 to 15 degrees. Dallas, TX is really just a cooler Phoenix(ofcourse also, Dallas is more humid and wet). Orlando is warm to hot all year round. Theres nothing worse than 90 degrees in FL!!!!! GA is my state but TX wins this, in overall best weather. GA and NC are just upgrades from the north many times weather wise. FL is just too hot and humid in the summer. So that leaves Dallas. Dallas has great weather with exception of hot summers in the 90s and 100s.

it depends on the individual. dallas gets hotter, but it's also less humid and usually a bit breezier in the summer. the temps can rise above 100, but it's not an every day thing. "summer" does start earlier and end a bit later in dallas, though. but both cities are known for their summer storms that can sweep through and drop the temps 20 degrees in about an hour

the rest of the year is pretty much a toss-up, but dallas usually has more snowy winters. both cities generally have four seasons (you can see the crepe myrtles bloom and show fall colors in both cities )

all in all, the weather in both cities is more alike than different. especially when compared to chicago.
