I agree with atlantagreg. The metro area is very diverse. The farther out from the Atlanta area the more rural you will get. I think Peachtree City is a great area for people moving to work at the airport. It is a 30 minute commute, maybe 45 in heavy traffic. They are good shopping/dining areas and the access to I85 is good for commuting north or south. The Newnan area which is close by is growing fast also and will be a southern hub of shopping, dining, etc. Just north is Union City/Fairburn area with Shannon Mall and car alley. Thia area will grow a great deal in the coming years because of the KIA plant beiing built 20 miles to the south in the next few years. I would stay towards I85. The more east you get down Hwy54, you will get into the Clayton County area, which is not good. Riverdale which was a very nice place 20 years ago is not a good area, although it is right by the airport. I will leave it at that. The Peachtree City is a good place to buy a home because your home values will grow well with the area....Bill

I can't imagine what would be wrong with PTC for 11-18 year olds. More info, please. I've lived here for 2 years and am more than happy with our choice. I wouldn't live in Riverdale, however.
