I'm not sure if this belongs here or in the unemployment section - so if this post doesn't belong here - please move it.

I am desperate. I opened an unemployment claim in Atlanta, GA in April 2010, after I was laid off from my job. My claim is valid until April 2011. I moved to CA in the summer and transferred my claim. No problem.

I got a temp assignment in November that lasted until December 31. So I stopped certifying. Now that I'm unemployed again, I tried certifying last Monday - my PIN has been suspended. I'm supposed to contact the Interstate Claim Office. I have been trying for 2 days now, but noone picks up the phone! There is no message at all - it just keeps ringing until the call is dropped. I then tried calling the customer service AND the local office I registered at in Atlanta. Noone picks up the phone there either! The message tells me about the operating hours (during which I keep calling them), and tells me to call back during those hours!!! I tried emailing them twice - no response.
I don't know what to do???!

Has anyone had any experience with this and how did you resolve this issue?
Thanks so much for your help!

Don't panic yet, sweetheart1311. The offices are closed due to our ongoing snow/ice storm. The roads here are simply not passable yet. You may reach someone later in the week, but right now the offices are empty.

Good luck!
