Default Growth in Atlanta?

While reading this forum I find many people bringing up all the negatives in Atlanta.

For the most part Reed is doing what is necessary to remove the barriers preventing growth in Atlanta:

Additionally, economists from Georgia State and UGA see potential in Atlanta's growth prospects. From job increases to housing prices; Georgia's economy is projected to grow at rates greater than the national average.

Overall I see a strong year coming; I am interested in what I am missing.

You aren't missing anything. Take any situation and you are always sure to have naysayers of some sort or another.

Despite the challenges before him, Mayor Reed has done a bang up job running the city over the last year. He's laying the ground work for the future of the city, but I suppose those caught in superficial problems and "the here and now" can't see it. Good thing those types aren't running the show.

From what I can see, Mayor Reed has been doing some very good things, but it will take time.

The negativity you see is mainly due to factors which existed well before his election. Atlanta has a negative image that needs to be overcome, and that will take time.
