Sorry, but I have a large problem with laws that attempt to force the value system of one group upon another. Giving an individual the option of purchasing liquor on Sunday in no way infringes upon the civil rights of another, and to me that should be the acid test to any considered legislation.
You grew up in the United States, a country based in a culture that is CHRISTIAN, whether you want to agree with it or not.

Stop imposing YOUR BELIEF SYSTEM on Christians, for yours HAS LITTLE TO NO HISTORIC PRECEDENCE in this part of the country.

Oh, the moral police. I suppose Christians aren't allowed to have a say in their government, then, are they?

Good point. I would be strongly in favor of evangelical Christians (or anyone else) having the right to opt out of the sale or purchase of alcohol on Sunday. That would be a step in the direction of smaller and less intrusive government.

I'm well aware of the current restrictions and where they are in place, which has no beaing on the rediculousness of this issue. There are far too may people in this country acting like sheep. They need to wake up.

Why is it ok for them to have sex without being married on Sunday but people cant buy alcohol on Sunday? By the way I dont drink. If you are able to vote and protect your country at 18 grown people should be able to buy alcohol. Enough with this dumb discussion
And what does this have to do with anything? Yes, people sin, but pointing out that people sin in various areas doesn't negate the need to keeping the Sabbath Holy.

How would letting people buy alcohol on Sunday affect you as a Christain?

Liquor stores and grocery stores would pick up Sunday profits from folks (who have not stocked up) who are currently forced to go to a bar or restaurant if they wish to consume. This is a significant number of people.
Yes, insecure folks who wish to consume disgusting tasting garbage, all to feed an ego of being "grown-up" and doing "grown-up" things. Either that, or to "loosen-up" because they have little to no self confidence.

Does it not affect society? Are Christians part of the society? Seeing moral parameters crumble affects some Christians, emotionally. Hence, that's affecting Christians. It also shows a huge lack of respect for moral standards, cultural inheritance, and people of faith.

Let me guess, you aren't so big on that whole separation of church and state thing, are ya?
