Default I love it when

I watch the Weather Channel and see all the snow that they are getting in the north

I will take our 2-3 inches of snow per year any day.

There may have been some sleet/wintry mix last night. The weekend should be nice --60's.

I was just messing with my sister about the snow in Baltimore.

Alot of my friends were stuck in rush hour traffic last night for 5-6 hrs due to the snowfall in Baltimore.

Seems to happen every snowfall and they have the plows...

Alot of people were fortunate enough to get paid during the week, but I wouldn't expect everyone to get lucky in the future

19 inches of snow caused schools to be cancelled in the Northeast yesterday but they are open today with a 90 minute delay.

And don't be fooled by airport closings you see on tv as they are not indicative of the situation- my daughters in Manhattan were still at work; the city doesn't close.

Nyc'ers darn near shut down when it gets above 100 degrees, I be hearing on tv about all these people that have died because it's too hot. They need to grow up because it's hot here almost every day in the summer

I never understood how someone could just die because its hot. Seems like if you feel like things are getting serious maybe you want to turn on the AC or go somewhere that has it. Anyways, yes I know it is mainly the elderly and it is not that easy for them.

It gets pretty hot though in NYC. When my parents came to visit it was 100 degrees and they had a very difficult time walking around. They live in GA so should be used to it. However, they are used to sitting down in an air conditioned car and not walking around for extended periods of time.

For some, turning on the AC is not an option.

I don't care for the 'dog days'--July to Mid September myself but can deal with it. I don't think I could deal with 4/5 months of freezing ice and snow as well.

The forsythia --'January Jasmine' began to bloom under the ice and snow a few weeks ago---always a good sign. By mid February we will begin to prepare the yards for Spring. A pretty good deal.
