Any comments on the school culture in Milton or Alpharetta?....not greatschools.net info...real life experience needed. I'm looking at Northwestern middle & Milton High.... or Webb Bridge middle & Alpharetta High. Hope that's the correct feeder pattern. Thanks for any advice given.

You can't go wrong with either one. Milton may have a bit of an edge with test scores, but the houses are more expensive. Both high schools are highly rated. FYI, the schools aren't "city" schools in North Fulton. You can live in Alpharetta and be zoned for Milton schools.

And Fulton County is getting ready to open a new high school on Bethany Bridge Road (I think that is the name) that may impact the attendance zones of Milton and Alpharetta as well as other high schools.

Fulton county schools are generally strong, so if redistricted you don't really have anything to worry about.

Redistricting is currently underway and Milton, Roswell, and Alpharetta High Schools are all going to be affected. Although we live in Roswell, close to the high school, one plan has us going to Milton HS.

Yes, watch out for the redistricting that will occur for 2012-2013 school year.

My 8th grade daughter goes to Webb Bridge MS now, but will be the minority that will be attending Chattahoochee HS this fall (the rest off the school will go to Alpharetta HS) for the 2011-2012 year.

HOWEVER, the redistricting may have her returning to Alpharetta after one year at Chattahoochee. So not cool to keep shuffling the kiddies.
