I wanted to know if anyone on the board shops at the Publix store located at 595 Piedmont? If so, do you consider this to be a safe area and location for shopping?

I am looking at some condos in the area and just wanted to get some feedback.

Thanks.

I consider that a safe area to do grocery shopping and that Publix is decent. The Walgreens there is 24 hrs which is nice.

Now Murder Kroger is a different story...

I think that the store could often times be cleaner but I think it's generally safe enough, particularly during the day and evenings. Not sure I'd want to go at midnight just because of the local area.

I shop at that Publix all the time and never felt intimidated. It's always high traffic and they usually have a security guard or two at the door.

+1

Lived within a mile of this Publix for two years. Never any issue other than the very rare occasion that I get bummed for change by a resident of the Peachtree Pine shelter around the block.

Not to sour the mood, but my friend did get robbed in that parking lot last year. It was late at night; I don't think you should be too worried during the day/early evening.

It is a great area, just be aware of your surroundings, but that goes for anywhere USA.

I am really glad to get this positive feedback because I have my eyes on two condo communities near this area.

I found a half drank bottle of wine and a half eaten kielbasa in the mens room there once. The manager told me it was the 2nd time it happened that week.
