For those that frequent or live in Midtown be extra careful with parking in the lot at the Little Azio/Noodle shopping complex on Peachtree. They have an employee sitting in an older model car who hides in his car until you walk way and then comes out and puts a boot on your car and demands $75 to remove it, with his credit card reader in his hand, ready to go.

Since this is a free lot its easy to catch people running across the street to a neighboring business so you really have to be careful. Within minutes of this happening to us we watch it happen to someone else. They make no attempt to let people know before they park as they are hiding in the car. Apparently this is a widespread practice in Atlanta, so just wanted to let people know.

The name of the company handling this lot is Metro Parking Enforce (M.P.E.).

I had the same thing happen to me a while back at the "Around Lenox" shopping center. I parked over there, went into one store briefly and then decided to go to Lenox. Rather than be lazy and get in my car to drive it a quarter of a mile across the street and refind parking, I left my car and walked over to Lenox. Came back to a boot! And, yep, a guy showed up to take my money and remove the boot. I called the company and explained/complained and got my money back.

Same thing happened to us at the Flip burger in Buckhead. He had booted like 10 cars, when we told him we were eating at flip burger he took it off. It is pretty ridiculous as that lot has tons of parking and like the prior poster said, what if you were in a business that is associated with the lot, and then just run across the street? I have no problem with them booting if you park in the lot and dont patronize one of the businesses in the lot. I am surprised the starbucks right down the street doesnt do the same thing (yet)!
