I wouldn't say his death is cool, but I will say that I am cool with it.

There's too many people anyway. What better way to thin the herd than by getting rid of worthless predators?

Most of the gun lovers I know advocate the use of things like trigger locks and gun lockers (or similar things) for weapon storage. Kids and guns should not mix except under VERY close supervision...

I'm not a "gun lover" although I do own some and know how to use them.

But what's the connection between this brave lady defending herself from a violent, armed assault and the tragedy in Clarkston?

That's smart and what I would advocate myself.

If it wasnt guns it'd be knives. If it wasnt knives itd be swords. I just get tired of people acting like everything about guns is negative when cases like this prove that they arent

I think the connection is that gloating about violence no matter what form it takes whether self defense or a tragedy is part of the problem. i think the fact there was another killing in metro atlanta is a bad thing not a cause for celebration.

I feel very sorry that this wonderful productive taxpaying woman was attacked within the sanctity of her own home. My prayers go out to her, to get thru this trauma.
but
I feel no remorse for the now dead perp.
in fact,
I am extatically jubilant over the fact that another worthless criminal has been killed.
(ugly too. just look at his pic in the updated article)
I know an ex-NY'er who has legal handguns and is anxiously waiting for the chance to blow away a home invader.
so
dont you stupid thugs and gang members get it???
GOOD PEOPLE ARE FED UP WITH YOU, AND ARE ARMING THEMSELVES, AND YOU WILL EVENTUALLY BE KILLED BECAUSE OF THESE CRIMINAL ANTICS !!

Well, I'm not gloating about violence. I am very pleased that this lady in Gwinnett was able to defend herself against an extremely violent armed attack in her own home. If you break into someone's house and go after them the way her assailant did, you have to accept that you may be met with equivalent resistance.

But you still haven't said what any of that has to do with this poor child being injured in Clarkston. What causal connection do you see between these events? Surely you're not claiming the incident in Clarkston was the result of the teenage shooter gloationg about the assault in Duluth?

I don't think I've ever heard of anybody "gloat" over a tragedy, such as the story you posted.

I wouldn't consider comments in this thread about the attacker's death to be "gloating." Some people (myself included), are just totally fine with the outcome of the victim's actions.

The only gloating I can recall in recent memory, regarding a death, was in response to Osama's death.

It's offensive to post a story about a tragic shooting of a child and equate it to the death of the victim's attacker.
