Some further development in the Buckhead area. Nice to see things moving incrementally on a building by building basis. It seems to me you get a much better and more organic result than way than with grandiose "master plans."
Oliver McMillan to restart development of Buckhead Atlanta early 2012 with 2013 opening planned

I'm glad to see them taking a more organic approach and just doing a few buildings.

I think this will be a nice project. I envision it being more like West Village in Dallas than Rodeo Dr in BH.

A lot of the work has already been done -- demolition, site remediation, underground parking, etc.

Just drove by the site a few minutes ago and there are workers there. Granted, they are working on the perimeter fence but it is nice to see some sort of activity there other than cranes blowing in the wind!

Their project manager said they expect to go vertical almost immediately, since so much of the work has already been done.

Yea, I walk right passed that area everyday to go to work and they've actually been doing small things here and there everyday. Primarily cleaning up the grounds, trimming the weeds to prepare for the actual construction. They've had dump trucks in and out of there hauling away what appears to be construction waste that may have been sitting there for years.

I'm thinking the signage on the wall will be the ribbon cutting that gets it started again, as I can't see them advertising on a pretty visible wall with nothing going on for a few months.

The apartment construction across the street are Pharr Rd has been moving right along. And I believe Atlanta International School is starting construction of their elementary facility on Peachtree Ave.

Feels good that all the places surrounding my condo are finally moving again.
