"Oh, that's nice. Where did you go exactly in Buckhead?"

"Like I said, I went to Buckhead Atlanta."

"Yeah, but WHERE in Buckhead did you shop? Lenox? Phipps?"

"No. I shopped in BUCKHEAD ATLANTA?"

Who's on first?
Outstanding, waronxmas! That's exactly what it make me think of.

In my opinion this looks pretty good from the drawings. But just drop the goofy name and go with the address. What is it with real estate developers doing this? Some kind of marketing shtick?

Maybe I should "reposition" my broken down old place and start calling it "The Amazing House and Driveway of Arjay." Sounds pretty snazzy, eh?

2879 Peachtree Road in Buckhead Village.

897 Buckhead Avenue in Buckhead Village.
Personally, I would drop the "in Buckhead Village" -- to me that sort of thing sounds too cutesy and marketing-departmented.

Locals already know where they're going and visitors can easily figure it out from the address.

Should've just called it "The Buck".

When I think of elite shopping districts what comes to mind is Rodeo Drive, Miracle Mile and 5th Avenue, all names that relate to specific areas in Beverly Hills, Chicago and Manhattan. Finding a name that is distinct and definitive is important in establishing the area as a destination. Having spent way too much time shopping at Phipps in the last two months and being one of the few shoppers wandering the mall, I wonder how much business another upscale shopping area in Atlanta will have. If you have enough money to shop these places, you have enough money to fly to one of the major world cities and spend away.

I was so looking forward to groups of rich white teenagers screaming "I'm from the streets!" Oh well...

True.

As they're developing/building, they could use the "Buckhead Village" name-tag...and then discontinue once complete.

"Buckhead, Atlanta" would have been much better. They should have dropped the Atlanta and named it "Buckhead." "Peachtree Road" would have been cool.

The "Buckhead Village" name is already being used by Loudermilk in whatever he is building at the corner of Roswell and Irby (next to the Buckhead Theatre).
