Me and my husband have relocated to Georgia from Mass for his job. He is working in Norcross and after looking at some homes have decided on possibly, Suwanee, Sugar Hill, Cumming, and possibly Buford. We have a 6 month old infant and plan on staying in the area till she is in school. I would love some suggestions on where to choose, the following are whats important to us.

1-great school district
2-homes around 200k, under would be better
3-easy commute to Norcross
4-great diversified community with alot to do (we're not the type to sit at home)

Any suggestions and comments would be greatly appreciated!

I lived in Cumming for over a decade and I have no idea exactly what constitutes Sugar Hill. If you ask 5 people, you'll get 6 answers. I've always just lumped it in with Buford. Keep that in mind in my reply.

1. You're looking at great schools at any of those locations. I'm not even sure what would be the weakest link. Maybe Suwanee?
2. I don't think you're priced out of any of those locations for a 3-person family.
3. There's no such thing as an easy commute to Norcross. Suwanee and Buford are closer to the Interstate and that would make the commute much better to most parts of Norcross. I can say that Cumming to Norcross is a nasty commute.
4. All of those areas have roughly the same amenities and proximity to Atlanta. If you like going out on the lake, Buford and Cumming put you closest to it.

Could also try Johns Creek, it's possible to find 3br homes under 200k: great schools, diverse, and easy commute down Medlock Bridge/141/Peachtree Pkwy to Norcross.

Suwanee. Great schools and lots of family oriented activities. Easy commute to Norcross.
