Everyone is going to tell you to locate here, because nobody speaks English in South Florida, and there is not a single good area down there. Be aware that's a sarcastic statement, it's actually nice down here if you don't live in Dade County and live west of the Florida Turnpike. Anyway, for good schools in Atlanta, you ought to zero in on Alpharetta or most of Gwinnett county. In South Florida, zero in on Broward County and specifically the communities of Cooper City, Davie on the western half, Coral Springs, Parkland, and Weston. For high paying jobs, Atlanta is definitely a better bet than South Florida, but please visit Gwinnett County and then visit Broward County, and tell me which one you like better. Believe me, you will see the difference between the two, and which you like better is pretty subjective. Personally, I will take a suburb in Broward County any day because the roads actually move, the people are from all sorts of different backgrounds but are usually nice, the air is clean, and (yes) the crime is lower. Atlanta, however, is a LOT cheaper, yet the job market is better.

Buckhead is actually really luxurious, but the school districts are not too good. Marietta also has some less desirable areas.

Oh, and one more thing, do NOT move to Miami, and DO your research if you decide you like So Fla better. The reality is that most of the Floridians fleeing Florida have picked the wrong area, and assume all of South Florida is like the area they chose, or are leaving strictly for affordability reasons, despite what people on this website will tell you about none of their "friends" "liking it down here" or "come to Atlanta, it's SOOO MUCH better".Basically, pick whichever city you feel you can live most comfortably in, and have a job rounded up before you move to either.
