I live in Newnan, it's experiencing growth, but not at the rate that other areas are recieving it. The shopping and dining is great and our historic district is gorgeous. Places like SEnoia and East Coweta are growing as well. Check it out.

Check out www.schoolmatters.com for school information. I have found that they have all the information that you need and that it seems to be more up to date than some of the other sites.

I am so glad to have found some mentioning on here about Newnan...my family & I are looking to relocate there in the beginning of '07. We currently live in S.FLA in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Any other good/bad things to know???

We actually took a week vacation in GA back in Aug. '06. We drove thru Newnan but really didn't get to check it all out. Would love to here more about it...so far so good. Thx!

Newnan has a great historic district, but there are a considerable amount of rednecks here. The Southwest Metro is about to experience a trememdous growth spurt

Smile Anyone live in Newnan?

I am cosidering moving to the Newnan area. I seen lots of homes for sale in the price range i am looking for. However, does anybody have any comments on specific communities such as......Timberlane, Happy Valley Estates, Sunset ridge, Georgian Hills, Etc.
Any info would be helpful in my research. Thanks

I live in Newnan. It's a growing town with everything you need and has a lot of history. It's about 40 minutes from Atlanta.
