I've never tried their ice cream. I hope the shop does well...
Quote:
Atlanta’s Queen of Cream will open its first ice cream parlor in the Old Fourth Ward by the end of July.
In early June, noted food reviewer Zagat.com named the Queen of Cream’s first brick and mortar location one of the 10 most anticipated restaurant openings this summer. Previously, the gourmet ice cream was only available at carts throughout town.

Queen of Cream was co-founded by 28-year-old Cora Cotrim, who formerly worked as a pastry chef at Paper Plane, Victory Sandwich Bar, and Cacao. She started the company with her partner Davis Sandling, who oversees business operations and sales.

Cotrim makes small batches of ice cream using local and organic ingredients, and she pasteurizes Queen of Cream’s frozen confections in-house. Queen of Cream is the first ice cream shop to make ice cream 100 percent from scratch on location in Atlanta.
The company sources grass-fed, organic milk from Working Cows Dairy in Slocomb, Ala., and cream from Southern Swiss Dairy in Waynesboro, Ga.

Sounds more like a porno film than an ice cream joint. Sorry, just had to do it! Actually, judging by their logo, the reference is quite intentional.

Hopefully, this will be a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Which right now is home to Jake's, which I think sucks.

Here's hoping Queen of Cream is better. Though let's be honest, I'm going to go there regardless just to go back to work with the napkins and bowls that bear that logo!!!

Jake's is still around?

It used to be good back in the day - Sad to see it go downhill.

Jake is a jerk though..
