You can appeal your appraised value, if recent similar sales around you have been for less than what you are appraised for.

Nobody with any sense will move there. Decatur's central MARTA station will become the city's primary attraction, kinda like 5 points...

Yeah, that was a dumb comment. Decatur is still one of the most desirable places to live in the entire state, if not the entire southeast.

Unfortunately for my situation they haven't been. I like to watch house prices and it seems to me that here in Dunwoody the bargains are in the houses that are higher end. They seem to have gone down. Not by much of course, but 7-10% can be a lot when it's a very expensive house to begin with. The low to moderately priced section of the city hasn't really seen that much of a decrease. I guess I should be grateful that at least my home hasn't depreciated in value.
