Thumbs up Where's the best maternity ward/birthing center SOUTH of the perimeter?

I live in Peachtree City and just found out I'm expecting! I'd like to find a hospital that won't confine me to a bed during labor, make me change rooms three times and steal my baby in the middle of the night to sneak him or her off to the nursery.

This isn't my first baby, and I've seen the good, the bad and the ugly from delivery rooms, but I'm new to this area. I'm willing to drive up to 30 minutes away.

If you or your significant other has had a baby anywhere near Peachtree City, PLEASE REPLY - even if you just want to tell me where NOT to go. Thanks in advance!

What's wrong with your local hospital, Piedmont Fayette? It's less than 10 minutes away, has an excellent reputation (Top 100 Hospitals in America) and LOOKS inside and out like a Ritz-Carlton Hotel! I've heard nothing but good things about their birthing center, which has become the choice of thousands of local moms since opening just a few years ago.

I agree! Piedmont Fayette is a top flight hospital in every way.

Thanks for the responses. I haven't visited Piedmont Fayette (or anywhere else) yet, but I'll be sure to check it out.

Henry medical has a great maternity ward. My son was born there 2 years ago, and I have another due in October. They are now owned by piedmont also, so I expect them to be even better.

St Joseph's is excellent, too.
