To get back on topic, this is awesome for Atlanta hopefully change the perception the reat of the country has of a ghetto/ white trash sort on the map, to huh it has alot more to it than that. You would have thought the olympics would have changed that, however I'm sure the events that occurred ( the bombing) only helped portray an image of a place people don't want to be. Its a shame that this hasn't happened before

I totally disagree with this statement. Good or bad, the Stone Mountain mural is part of our Georgia history. It shouldn't be defaced or whitewashed.

At the same time, the brutal history of the south shouldn't be sanitized "Sons & Daughters of Confederate Veterans"-style either. Our history, good or bad should be put out there for consumption & understanding.

This way, it will not be repeated.

My opinion, take it or leave it.

A wise opinion. We should all take it!

Where has anyone contended anything related to superiority?

There is economic Marxism, what is traditionally viewed as Marxism, and then there is Cultural Marxism. Learn the difference before you reply to anything relating to Marxism.

There were numerous reasons for secession, one of which had to do with slavery. However, note, it was only one of the many reasons. Secondly, slavery was legal, was a worldwide institution, and had existed for most of human history. It was the norm of society. Since the Constitution only relegated limited powers to the central government, of which slavery was not one, then slavery was clearly a states rights issue. You must remember, we're are a confederation according to our own founding laws and documents.

Lincoln also had mentioned that his interests weren't with slavery. He repeated this on several occasions. Lincoln's concerns weren't with slaves. His opinion wasn't much different from Thomas Jefferson's.

If you mean do I think that the we would live more freely under a regional government who was more in line with the U.S. Constitution, contrary to the federal government of today, perhaps.
