Dude.. I work out everyday at the Lifetime fitness at Johns Creek . There are times when I am swimming at the pool, I feel I like I am in a health club in Seoul.... no joke. They don't even speak english.

Has anybody else noticed that COMCAST recently added two Korean-language TV channels to their Atlanta digital lineups, up there with all those Spanish-language networks we've always had?! Shhhh! Don't tell the rest of the C-D world! They'd refuse to believe it anyway ...

Obviously not. We don't have anything approaching an enclave of Koreans, Mexicans, or any other sort of nationality anywhere near our city center. That's not the type of city Atlanta is--we had virtually no Koreans (or really any other immigrants) when the driving forces behind inner-city ethnic enclaves were present. I'll bet we could add 100k more Koreans and still not have a distinct Koreatown anywhere near downtown. Immigrants mainly come to Atlanta for the suburbs.

What does this have to do with my comment? If you mean that Atlanta has enough Asians, I disagree. I want this city to be swamped with Asians. Intown Atlanta could especially benefit from a quadrupuling of the Asian population growth. We need a lot of condos filled and neighborhoods gentrified. Not to mention the coolnes factor of having an urban, intown neighborhood dominated by Asians. South Downtown would make a perfect Koreatown.

That is exactly my point... Johns Creek asian population doubled in 4 short years... if this trend continues we will easily surpass 40,000 Asians in Johns Creek by 2020.. That is 40% of the Johns Creek population... the place you can see Asian population boom like that is in Los Angeles county back in the 1980s.
I always thought that Doraville was the old Korea town and Duluth is the new Korean town? am i correct?
