I can't stop thinking about Pamela's breakfast in Pittsburgh lately. Those awesome hotcakes, omelettes and homefries.

Somehow I managed to waste way too many weekend brunch hours at the Flying Biscuit in the last couple of years, not knowing what all else is out there in Atlanta.

We tried Rise n Dine this weekend. It was good but I am wondering if there is anywhere in town that compares to Pamelas? Next on the list to try is Ria's Bluebird.

There is the Broken Egg at the peachtree battle shopping center, and the West Egg on Howell Mill rd. Those are 2 to try.

I dont know if this compares but for good brunch try Murphy's in Virginia Highland or Eintstein's in Midtown (not the bagel place). In my opinion they blow flying biscuit away (I have only been to flying biscuit once and wasnt impressed, but maybe I need to try it again based on a lot of people loving it).

J. Christopher's is another good breakfast spot. There is one on West Peachtree. But for a real Atlanta breakfast experience, the Silver Skillet on 14th is a must. The coffee is absolutely horrid, but the restaurant is quite the institution! Atmosphere restaurant on Piedmont has a good brunch, too.

Don't forget about Pappadeaux for Brunch (Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen). The only one that serves brunch is the Alpharetta location.

I never heard of Pamela's Diner and just now looked up their website to check it out. After looking at the menu, I'll definitely second Arjay's rec of Thumb's Up Diner. It looks really similar. Try it out -- even if it isn't exactly like Pamela's, you'll probably have a good time anyway. I've found it to be a good quality breakfast and I prefer it to Flying Biscuit.

Thanks for the responses everyone!

I actually used to go to West Egg a good bit but I haven't been since they opened in the new location and changed up the menu. Maybe time to give them another chance. I haven't been to Murphy's in awhile either. Love that little basket of mini muffins they give you.

I wasn't really impressed with J. Christopher. Maybe I just had a bad experience?

I will definitely put the other suggestions on the list. Original Pancake House looks like it might be the closest in terms of the variety of pancakes offered.
