Default Schools for smart kids :)

Are there any exam schools (Schools where you take an exam to get addmitted) or any hard to get into schools for a gifted high schooler? If there are none we will send her to Fulton Science High School. Do you know anything about this school? Thank you!

You must live in Fulton County for that school. Are you in Fulton County? Which school system are you in?

The best school in Atlanta is Westminster, primarily because it has the best students.

Hmmmm.... But, I must agree, that Westminster is likely the most nationally respected prep school in the city. There are certainly numerous other private schools which rank right up there. Are you interested in public or private schools?

Galloway (Chastain Park), Paidea (Druid Hills). Depending on your kids' ages, The Children's School (10th St at Piedmont Park) may be a good answer. Further, there are aplenty of good public schools where a smart kid would do well. Again, age is an important factor in that discussion as is your location.

Woodward.

However, Fulton has some really excellent public schools, depending on where you live.

You're going to have to narrow it down more than that, unless you're looking forward to a 66 mile commute.

Disagree, Woodward is not hard to get into. My best friend went there and he is a total slacker, I think he got something like a 1100 on his SAT (old scoring) if even that.

Ok I live in Roswell right near Alpharetta. And my daughters going to enter 10th grade. Are there any specific just smart kid schools, because when we lived in Canada there were schools which you had to be selected based on grades and test scores. Are there any here?
