I was looking into purchasing a condo in this neighborhood. Does anyone have any info on the area?

I know it's a gated community, but then again, not too far from Boulevard/ 4th Ward.

Any help/info would be appreciated

I know someone who had a condo very near there with an unobstructed view of the Atlanta skyline. The problem? The skyline was just plain ugly.

You'll be very close to Kevin Rathbun's highly acclaimed restaurants.

Thx. Judging from the the pics of the neighborhood (and the name of the neighborhood, of course), there seems to be some type of city view.

I don't care about the view and was interested b/c of price/location

I owned a townhome there 5 yrs ago. location is ok but is surrounded by projects (boulevard, etc) so the price and resale did not work out so well. It might be better now but I doubt it.

Old Fourth Ward is a mixed bag. On one hand, there's Boulevard/Parkway, which probably aren't going to transform into something nicer anytime soon. But then there's cool stuff happening along Highland Ave and Edgewood Ave, not to mention the Beltline and Historic Fourth Ward Park. So it definitely has its ups and downs. If you can stomach a transitioning area, and don't get your hopes up to high about making a profit when selling, then they're not a bad deal. Unfortunately, I just think they're kind of cheap looking.

Thx for all of your support.

I don't mind living in a transitioning area. It's between there or Camp Creek / SW Atl (outside of 285) for me.

I think I'll take ths risk and see if the area transforms similiar to East Lake (which used to be beyond terrible)

ATL_II_DMV or anyone else. I'm looking for an updated view on this community. Has anything changed since 2011?

A lot has changed in the surrounding area since 2011...but I don't have information on the specific condo community. I'm not sure which you are asking about.

Yeah, I was asking specifically about the condo community. There's a unit I'm considering, I was just curious if there were any new opinions on the place. I'm relatively familiar w/ the area just don't know anything about that particular condo community.
