What areas to look in? (Roswell, Alpharetta: houses, school district, place to live)

Hi Everyone!

My husband and I have been looking at houses for the past few months. We have looked in the Doraville area (the Peachtree Corners side), the Duluth Area, and will be going out this weekend to look around the Roswell and Apharetta area. My husband works in Norcross and I work in Downtown. What areas would be good for us to look in? We are most concerned about good schools, and generally a family type of place to live possibly with swim/tennis. We are interested in the 225k range. Please help. Thank you!

What did you think about the Peachtree Corners area? That might be ideal for you. Your husband works right there and you could jump on 85 to head to work. Commuting to downtown from Alpharetta would be a nightmare for you, assuming you work normal hours.

Keep in mind, Peachtree corner is north of Holcomb Bridge on Peachtree parkway in Nocross. Look for Simpson elementary school area. Most houses cost more than 275K, though. If you look for property in Roswell, pick West Roswell in Sweet Apple school district. Not sure the price, but it is going to be difficult to find anything under 250K.
