Default Dcided to move to AATL last night

We was there two years ago and we went to an area that was not too far from Evander Holyfields spread. We were looking at homes in this area where one of the property owners told us Jermaine Dupree home was located (not far from his) it was located around a man made lake.

We very much want to locate in this area. Any info would be appreciated.

We have not even contacted a real estate agent but will do so when we go to Atlanta on the 25th of this month.

Thanks!

I do hope there are some other real reasons you have for wanting to move to Atlanta other than that you could live close to Holyfield's and Dupree's home (?).

There's a lot to Atlanta besides having a large numer of wealthy minority celebrity homes. Some is good, some is bad. Traffic, smog, crime, poor public school system.... then on the flip-side, a good job market and tons of housing options.

Besides celebs, what are the reasons you want to leave where you are now, and why would you feel Atlanta would be a better choice?

I agree with atlantagreg30127. But the area you are referring to is northern Fayetteville in Fayette County. You can still get plenty of acreage down there for the money, a rarity in Atlanta now. The location of your job, your school requirements for your kids, your inteded social calendar among other things might keep you from moving down there though. You have got to sort all these things out before deciding to purchase in Atlanta. The metro area is VERY spread out and most of the jobs are to the north of the city. Even though the majority of Fayette County is nice and affordable (compared with northside suburbs) you might not have the luxury to move down there. The horrible traffic keeps many people confined to one quadrant of town, as almost every suburb in the metro is self sustaining.
