However, in practical terms, if you go around sticking up fast food restaurants at gunpoint you are endangering A LOT of innocent people. That's why the cops will take you out in a heartbeat.

Anybody who doesn't know that is not only a ridiculous scuzzball but a moron as well.

I was laughing at Bob's comment (not at a loss of life).

I made it clear that we are not celebrating the death of Hamburgler, but society ridding itself of scumbags is not a bad thing. You can't deny what he said (and how funny and true it is).

Some parents know their kids are doing these things, and want to society to mourn with them (after their killer kids get shot by cops). I can't cry with them nor for them. Sorry.

I didn't think you were celebrating the guy's death, MisterNY.

I have no idea what his mother will say, although it's probably a common human reaction to mourn when your kid is killed, no matter how bad an actor he was. Even when they are complete, useless punks, to us parents they are still our babies in some sense. One of our good friends has a kid who is in the big house for a long time, and while she knows he deserves it she still grieves for him.

I understand. No parent wants to see their kid locked up or dead.

They should also make an effort to keep them on the right path. Easier said than done, I know, but some of these parents just don't care until it's too late. And some know their kids are up to no good.

Now it looks like Waffle House is being targeted.

Makes you wonder how safe it is to stop off and get a bite to eat these days.

Or she will be relieved. I have a neighbor who was burglarized by a kid who's Mother showed up to court and agreed with him when he said the community is sick of this crap. The young man was taken out of her home because he refused to listen to his mother and insisted on getting into trouble.

Waffle House Hit With Another Armed Robbery - News Story - WSB Atlanta

You'd think these idiots would learn from their peers. If the Waffle House thief could see his cousin (?), the Burger King Bandit (as he lays to rest), he might take it easy. (Doubtful).

I guess he'll wait for his turn.

Well, one good thing you can say about these robberies is that they are happening everywhere. The Waffle House Bandits have hit Cobb, Gwinnett and Henry counties along with the city of Norcross. The Burger King Bandit hit dozens of Burger Kings, Taco Bells and KFCs in Stockbridge, Cobb, Gwinnett, Clayton and Douglas counties.

So none of this seems to be related to transit. Which undercuts the argument that transit brings crime. It seems to me the vast majority of bandits use car.
