"Has everyone who's lived in Snellville failed to warn her of the atrocious Hwy 78 Reversible Lane Change System???"
*****

If she lives in 30039, it is easy to avoid the reversible lane change system. You leave the 78 at Park Place and take Anniston Road through Centerville. It saves a lot of time and aggravation. The southern part of Snellville has some great neighborhoods and is much quieter than the area north of the 78.

Default reverse lane system on 78 Snellville

Yeah I have never used reverse lanes and I must say I dont find them either safe or useful. I actually think they are dangerous and I avoid them at all costs, I will even go so far as to go to the next light and turn around. I hate the reverse lanes...They are not clearly marked and especially for a newcomer(like me for example) they are downright scarey..>Who's bright idea was this anyways...I have lived in 6 states and NEVER(and hope I never do again) have used, seen or known about these reverse lanes...

I too love S. Snellville. Great area...

Take Care and Happy New Year ALL!!!!

LOL! I have finally mastered it after a year, but take my life in my hands when my husband drives it because he has not.

Default Quite and Convenient

Not only are some areas very quite as mentioned, they are also very convenient to all the shopping, and dining in Snellville while retaining a bucolic charm. The 30039 zip also has some beautiful neighborhoods. Always do your own homework when checking out an area as perception is not always reality...use data not word of mouth

My family & I moved here 4 years ago, from Ohio , where crime is more popular than American Idol.
We enjoy being in Snellville, Most of the people are nice, You get waves from people driving down your street, and your like, Uh, OK ! Neighboorhoods are clean, We keep our yards, Shiloh schools are ok, you just have to keep on the teachers. Crime is everywhere, But The Gwinette county police DONT PLAY ! so, they keep it cool. We plan on being here another 4 years , possibly !
