They picked this one, folks. I'm disappointed. Atlanta once again continues to be ignored, as the tag with the skyline(s) was clearly rejected... At least this one doesn't have a ".com" after "Georgia."

I think it is nice - for me, I will continue with my special order plate and support Spay/Neuter programs in Georgia.

It seemed like a legion of southern grandmothers got together to design and vote for the final list of license plates this year.

(Not that there aren't some hip, graphic-designin' grandmothers out there in Georgia.)

But seriously, I'm not very impressed with this. It's sort of generically folksy and embarrassingly literal. I wish we'd had some more innovative ideas using the symbol of the peach. Oh well!

It's nice, it's just when I see it it makes me feel like everyone from out of state will think Georgia has nothing to offer, but peach farms.

I tried researching this on line, but not too many weeks one of the local news stations aired a segment reporting that a small percentage of the upfront and annual fee for this plate actually ever made to it spay / neuter programs. Wish I could find a link...

Ugh. Looks as bad as the sunshine happy face plate from Kentucky (I think it was) about 10 years ago. Gag.

The GMVA site indicates $22 of every $25 goes to the DCSP. I remember a few years ago the news reported that the DCSP was so popular it was running out of money.

Huh. Not the one I voted for, but I don't dislike the one they choose.

I'm still not sure why they want to change it, tho.

Meh. Too rural. To people out of state it looks like Georgia has nothing but rolling farms and peaches. Bleh.

And up here in New York, they recently did away with the iconic blue and white tag for a yellow and blue one that's pretty bland (apparently it's a throwback to one in the 70s or something). Not that blue and white was exciting, but it was in countless films/tv shows and instantly recognizeable.
