Hmm, I'm an Atlanta native.

You are a NOLA native judging by your post history. Nice try though.

Well I was born at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta in the 1970s, I grew up as business dictated between Atlanta and New Orleans.
But hey, whatever.

Now only if you asked for a show of hands to see how many of those that just challenged you being an Atlanta native are actually Atlanta transplants.

You obviously didn't look far enough because it's no secret that Prytania is from Atlanta on this forum

Once that spotlight shines past the GA/AL line I'll be sure to cringe to your satisfaction..

For one, it's only a title. Execs and publications out of Los Angeles have considered New Orleans to be Hollywood South for some time now. I haven't seen that title given to Atlanta anywere outside Atlanta. Either way, it's just a title. Thankfully New Orleans and many other cities couldn't care less about titles that really don't mean anything and can go as fast as they come.

Right. and here is another shining example of a poster who lives hundreds of miles away from Atlanta posting in this forum to "teach us a lesson".

Before I stop entertaining your childishness, I'm just going to point out that I can post wherever the hell I please. I you don't like too bad. Any of you are more than welcome to post on the Louisiana or New Orleans forums.

On that note I'm actually glad to see the film industry growing in GA. I mean honestly, right now it's good to see any city doing something good especially in the south. I find this whole "teach us a lesson", "put Atlanta in it's place" thing you all have going hilarious. It almost sounds delusional.

SO WHY WASTE YOUR TIME TROLLING THIS THREAD? The subject here is an article on the ATLANTA film industry that appears on the cover of the new ATLANTA magazine ... and this is the ATLANTA forum!

The article makes no mention or comparison to New Orleaans ... NONE! So how did somebody from New Orleans end up here? Especially since you couldn't care less?

I will most a few thoughts from the Hollywood issue shortly but meantime, those of you who say Miami or New Orleans should own the title, why not offer a little more than your opunion?
Wow, do you not have a clue of how important and powerful the Miami/S. Florida film industry is? Does that really need to be broken down for you?

Film in Miami - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

List of films and television shows set in Miami - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm not denying the growing role that the film and TV industry is playing in Atlanta and Georgia (which is impressive) or the history of such industry here, but a title like "Hollywood of the South" completely ignores the very large and important roles that other areas of the South have already had in this area for some time now as well.
