The current acreage of the airport is already only slightly behind JFK (4700 for ATL vs about 4900 for JFK). In America, Denver has everyone beat with almost 34,000 acres.

Is it true that if you are flying Delta domestic, you will be able to check-in @ the new terminal and ride the plane trane to concourses A,B,C,D, or E? I was thinking that was the case but that would have been a long expansion of the plane trane.

I'm not sure if you'll be allowed to check in at the new terminal for domestic flights, but I suspect you will be allowed to. After all, if an international arrival coming from a codeshare airline (KLM, Airfrance) continuing to a different US destination gets off and walks into the international concourse, they'll basically then be a domestic passenger who needs to go through security.

The Plane Train will connect the new Concourse F with the rest of the airport.

I'm still uncertain about some aspects of the new terminal, but it will be nice to finally avoid the baggage recheck issue.

The ajc article had a picture of the plane train station at concourse f. I would bet you can check in domestic at the new terminal.
